Wayshowing For Byways: A Reference Manual is a new tool from the America’s Byways Resource Center, reveals new insights to the process of showing travelers how to experience a route and provides methods for improving the navigational element of the visitor experience. A culmination of more than two years of research, Wayshowing For Byways: A Reference Manual addresses the concerns of a different audience in each chapter.
Chapter 1 – The introduction to the manual is sent with each request.
Chapter 2 – If you are new to the concepts of wayfinding and wayshowing, request Chapter 2.
Chapter 3 – If you are preparing a byway for designation, request Chapter 3.
Chapter 4 – If you want guidance to think more from a traveler’s perspective, request Chapter 4.
Chapter 5 – If you are planning and designing wayshowing improvements for your byway(s), request Chapter 5.
Chapter 6 – If you are a State / tribal byway coordinator, request Chapter 6.
